I am Moumita Das Sarkar, a dedicated Vocal Music teacher, performer, and music enthusiast with over a decade of experience in both teaching and performing.

My musical journey began at the tender age of 3, and since then, music has been an inseparable part of my life. I hold the prestigious title of Sangeet Visharad with Distinction from Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh, and have completed my Master’s degree in Vocal Music (First Class) from Rabindra Bharati University. In addition, I have completed B.Ed. in Music and am proud to have qualified the UGC-NET in Music, a national-level certification of academic excellence.

With 10+ years of teaching experience, I have taught Vocal Music—both Theory and Practical—at various levels, including schools, colleges, and private coaching. I specialize in Bengali and Hindi Modern Songs, Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul Geeti, and a variety of Indian Folk Music.

I am the founder of Gangchil Academy of Music, where I aim to provide a nurturing and inspiring space for learners of all ages. Along with practical training in vocal music, I also provide in-depth coaching in Music Theory, supporting school, college, and university students, as well as aspirants preparing for competitive exams like NET and SET.

I have had the privilege to perform as an eminent artist at several esteemed cultural organizations. My journey also includes participation in numerous workshops organized by Rajya Sangeet Academy, Uttarbanga Bhawaiya Academy o Parishad, and other renowned institutions. I also regularly organize workshops for my students, encouraging them to grow through exposure, experience, and shared learning.
